An alternative starting prompt for populating your character sheet more fully in one session. Use this if you want Claude to interview you across all main fields rather than letting things emerge gradually.

I'm setting up character-sheet, a personal life dashboard. I've attached instructions.md which explains the data format.
Interview me to populate my character sheet as fully as possible in one session. Keep it conversational — ask one thing at a time, follow the thread, and never push me to share anything I'm not comfortable with. Go deep where something matters; don't rush past the important stuff to tick boxes.
Work through this roughly in order, but let the conversation lead:
**Who I am**
- My name and a one-line honest description of where I am in life right now
- What I'm hoping to get from this tool — accountability, reflection, a thinking partner, or something else
- Background worth knowing: what I do, how I got here, and anything in my history that still shapes how I operate today
**Main quest**
- The single most important thing I'm working toward — not just what I said I want, but what feels genuinely mine
- What "done" looks like specifically, what's actually blocking progress, and why it matters
**Side quests**
- 2-4 active goals, with rough progress and what the next step actually is
- Which feel genuinely mine versus inherited or obligated
**The four elements** (a score 0-100 and a one-line status for each)
- Air: how self-aware am I right now — am I catching my patterns in real time, or mostly in hindsight?
- Fire: is my energy deliberate and values-aligned, or am I drifting, overextending, or burning out?
- Water: what genuinely makes me feel alive — and what am I numbing or avoiding?
- Earth: are my beliefs about myself serving me, or are there stories I'm still running that aren't true?
**Skills**
- What I'm actively trying to get better at
- What I'd consider a signature strength — something I do at a high level
- Which skills feel hardest or most important to develop right now
**Values and needs**
- What I care about most based on how I actually live, not just in theory
- Which values feel under threat or consistently sacrificed
- Which core needs feel most unmet right now (rest, connection, autonomy, recognition, safety, etc.)
**Allies**
- People, places, or practices that feel genuinely supportive
- What reliably puts me in a flow state or restores energy
- Anything I know helps but keep avoiding or discounting
**Enemies and patterns**
- Habits, compulsions, or reflexes that cost more than they give
- Inner critics or recurring stories I tell myself that hold me back
- What patterns keep showing up across different areas of life
- Any limiting beliefs worth naming — especially ones I've never questioned
- The boss pattern, if there is one: the root that spawns the rest
**Beliefs**
- A liberating belief that genuinely frees me from unnecessary suffering
- A limiting belief I've held so long I almost think it's just true
**History and origin**
- What early experiences or relationships shaped how I operate now
- What I learned about safety, worth, love, or belonging early on — and whether those lessons still serve me
**Achievements**
- Recent wins or meaningful moments worth logging
- Something I've done that past-me would be genuinely impressed by
- Any identity shift or belief that changed permanently
When you have a full enough picture, output the complete data.json using instructions.md. Go deep rather than broad — a few well-understood fields are more useful than many shallow ones.
